the highlights
  • Early 1800s - early 1900s

During that period, the activities of Kontostavlos family in Paros were associated with the ownership and operation of the two windmills at the port of Parikia. Today, one of the two stands as a local landmark, while the other has been transformed and now houses our travel agency.

  • 1960s

Οur grandfather, Spiros Kontostavlos, took his first steps into the hospitality sector with the establishment of Hotel Georgy, one of the first classic hotels in Paros. The property also featured independent food and beverage facilities and was located in the central square of Parikia.

  • 1970s

Our involvement in the food and beverage sector expanded with the opening of Yellow Spot, one of the island's first self-service restaurants, centrally located at the port of Paros.

  • 1980s

Our activities expanded with the establishment of the Kontostavlos Travel Agency at the port of Paros. In addition, by the end of the decade, our family further extended with the development of the Parian Village and Aegean Village hotels in Parikia.

  • 1990s

We participated in the founding of the companies Paros Europecar, Antiparos Europecar and Santorini Express Shipping Company.

  • 2000s

Through our involvement in establishing the Gregory's franchise in Paros, we broadened and enhanced the food and beverage options at the island's port.

  • 2010s

Our family expanded into commercial property leasing, transforming the Hotel Georgy into a modern complex of commercial and professional spaces.

  • 2020s

We continue to evolve by planning the development of two new hospitality properties. At the same time, we are committed to supporting the preservation of Paros' traditional identity and its sustainable development.
